Sign up for a Cloud Services Account

In order to use Cloud Services, you must first create an Account. You can create an account directly with F5 through the Cloud Services portal using the steps shown below. If you use Amazon Web Services, you can create your account through AWS Marketplace as shown here.

Note

If you have been invited to join F5 Cloud Services, you still need to create an account and subcribe to a service.


Create a Cloud Services account

  1. Go to the F5 Cloud Services portal.

  2. Create a new account.

    You will need the following information:

    • First and last name
    • Address
    • Email address
    • Company or organization name
    • You will also specify a password for your account
  3. Review and agree to the Terms of Services.

  4. Press the Create Account button.

    The F5 Cloud Services dashboard appears.

Once your account is created, you will need to Subscribe to a Service.


Subscribe to a service

Cloud Services offers a set of services the perform different functions. To see the available services, use the Your F5 Cloud tab in the Cloud Services portal navigation menu.

This screen provides an overview of your account. It also shows you all available services and indicates which services you have already subscribed to. Follow the following steps to subscribe to a service.

  1. Click the Subscribe option for the desired service.
  2. If you have not already provided an account address, you will be prompted for your address information.
  3. If you have not already provided a form of payment, you will be prompted to enter your payment information.

Once you have successfully subscribed to a service, the YOUR SERVICES section will show the service status, and the service card will have a blue left border and show an Unsubscribe option.


Unsubscribe from a service

The Your F5 Cloud tab in the Cloud Services portal navigation menu shows all the services available, and your subscribed services are those with a blue left border and show an Unsubscribe option.

To unsubscribe from a service, click the Unsubscribe option on the service card.

Payment information and cards

F5 Cloud Services offers consumption-based pricing allowing you to only pay for what you use. Once you have a Cloud Services account, you will need to add a payment card to cover service usage. This payment card will only be charged when services are rendered based on the current pricing schedule. Pricing is listed under each service in the Cloud Services documentation. For an example, you can go to the DNS Cloud services pricing document.

To see your charges and payment cardss on file, go to the Accounts tab and click on Payments. If you have not entered a payment card, you can click the Add button, as shown below. Alternatively you can subscribe to a service and add a payment card during the subscription setup process.

Sign up through the AWS Marketplace

If you use Amazon Web Services, you can create your account through AWS Marketplace using the steps below. If you don’t use AWS Marketplace, you can create an account directly with F5 through the Cloud Services portal as shown here.

  1. Log in to the AWS Marketplace and go to the F5 Cloud Services landing page.

  2. Click Continue to Subscribe.

  3. Click Subscribe.

  4. On the login page, click Sign Up.

    The Sign up for F5 Cloud Services page appears.

  5. Read and agree to the Subscription Terms.

  6. Complete the sign-up form, then click Create Account.

    The F5 Cloud Services dashboard appears.


Subscribe to a Service through the AWS Marketplace

  1. Click the Subscribe at AWS Marketplace option for the desired service. This will take you to the F5 approprate cloud service page.

  2. Click the yellow Continue to Subscribe button. You will see a confirmation window in the F5 Cloud Services page.

Once you have successfully subscribed to a service, the YOUR SERVICES section will show the service status, and the service card will have a blue left border and show an Unsubscribe at AWS Marketplace option.


Unsubscribe from a Service through the AWS Marketplace

The Your F5 Cloud tab in the Cloud Services portal navigation menu shows all the services available, and your subscribed services are those with a blue left border and show an Unsubscribe at AWS Marketplace option.

  1. Click the Unsubscribe at AWS Marketplace option on the service card.
  2. Click Yes, unsubscribe in the pop-up to confirm that you want to unsubscribe from the service.
  3. You will be transferred to the AWS page for the service you want to cancel. On the right there is an Actions pull-donw menu. Click the pulldown arrow and select Cancel subscription. This will complete the unsubscribe operation.

Once you have successfully unsubscribed to a service, the YOUR SERVICES section will show the service card without the blue left border and show a Subscribe at AWS Marketplace option.
