cloud-init User-data and Metadata Base64 Helper
Use separate sections for cloud-init user-data and VMware metadata, then generate Base64 for each.
Preamble: You can use just user-data, just metadata, or both. If you want to set a static IP before first boot, use metadata. If you do not have console access, use user-data to set an initial password. If you set expire: true under chpasswd, you must set a new password at first login (default example). Metadata is optional, and you can configure networking later from the VM console with f5insight-netconfig.
Important: To match the deployment documentation, also set guestinfo.userdata.encoding=base64 and guestinfo.metadata.encoding=base64 in VM configuration parameters.
User-data (guestinfo.userdata)
Copy the output and paste it into guestinfo.userdata.
Metadata (guestinfo.metadata)
Important: This metadata template uses the VMware OVA default interface name ens192. It might not work on other platforms or on VMs where interface naming differs.
Copy the output and paste it into guestinfo.metadata.
