LocalLB::ProfileTCP::set_nagle_algorithm_mode¶
Introduced : BIG-IP_v12.0.0
Sets the mode for the Nagle algorithm. If the mode is set to
TCP_MODE_ENABLED, sending data is delayed if it is less than MSS in
size unless all prior data has been ACKed. This leads to fewer small
packets sent and a smaller chance of dropped packets. However, this
can have poor effects for interactive protocols such as telnet over
high latency links. If the mode is set to TCP_MODE_DISABLED, sending
data that is less than MSS in size is not delayed. If mode is set to
TCP_MODE_AUTO, the use of Nagle&aposs algorithm is decided based on
the network characteristics such as the use of delayed ACKs.
Prototype¶
set_nagle_algorithm_mode(
in String [] profile_names,
in LocalLB__ProfileTCP__ProfileTCPMode [] modes
);
Parameters¶
Parameter | Type | Description |
profile_names | String [] | The names of the TCP profiles. |
modes | ProfileTCPMode [] | The mode for the specified TCP profiles. |
Exceptions¶
Exception | Description |
Common::AccessDenied | Raised if the client credentials are not valid. |
Common::InvalidArgument | Raised if one of the arguments is invalid. |
Common::OperationFailed | Raised if an operation error occurs. |
