Management::EM::get_device_token

Introduced : BIG-IP_v9.0
The iControl Proxy uses the get_device_token API to obtain a device token. The token is a URL to the iControl interface on the F5 device accessed by the Enterprise Manager.

Prototype

String get_device_token(
    in String ip_address
);

Parameters

Parameter Type Description
ip_address String This parameter specifies the IP address of the F5 device that you want to access via the Enterprise Manager.

Return Type

Type Description
String The returned device token string is a URL to the iControl interface on the F5 device accessed by the Enterprise Manager.

Exceptions

Exception Description
Common::AccessDenied Raised if the client credentials are not valid.
Common::InvalidArgument Raised if one of the arguments is invalid.
Common::OperationFailed Raised if an operation error occurs.
