PROFILE::persist
       Returns the value of a persistence profile setting.

SYNOPSIS
       PROFILE::persist ((instance PROFILE_PERSIST ATTR) | (mode MODE ATTR))

DESCRIPTION
       Returns the current value of the specified setting in the assigned
       persistence profile.

RETURN VALUE
       Returns the current value of the specified setting in the assigned
       persistence profile.
