NAME
event - Generate an Event on the BIG-IP(r) system.

SYNTAX
Generate the event component within the sys icall module using the syntax shown in the following sections.
GENERATE

DESCRIPTION
You may use the generate event command to construct a free-form Event in the system which will be sent to
interested Event Handlers.
EXAMPLES
generate event name EMPLOYEE context { { first_name Sam } { last_name Shepard } }
Construct an event named "EMPLOYEE" that contains two pieces of information as name/value pairs. An Event
Handler must be subscribed to the event by the name "EMPLOYEE" or by both event name and all the contexts in a
context group.
OPTIONS
context
Specifies a set of name/value pairs that convey the information of the Event.
name The Events name; does not have to be unique, but may not be empty.
