Software Installations: Upgrades, Updates, and Patching

Software installations (upgrades, updates, and patching) in F5 Insight follow a three-step workflow:

1. Upload and validate software images to F5 Insight.

2. Run a distribution job to copy the images to your target instances (ahead of the installation window, to save time during the change window).

3. Run an installation job to install and activate the new software.
