Overview: Application service observability¶
Application service observability allows you to measure the current state of your application services based on the data metrics generated, and the activity of the components in the application service configuration.
Observability helps you to detect and analyze the significance of events by providing visibility into the traffic, connection patterns, security (if applicable), and overall health of your application service pool members.
The image below shows an example of how to access the application service’s configuration map, focus on a specific component, and drill down to view the component details.

Application Dashboard¶
The My Application Services list provides information about application services that might require your attention. Information includes per-app health, active alerts, and the security policy enforcement status (if applicable).

Application service topology map¶
When viewing the settings for your application, the health, active alerts and security information are displayed for the application service.

How to access application service data metrics¶
Each application service component (for example: virtual server, pool, or pool member) can be reviewed for their traffic data metrics.
You can sepecify whether the metrics shown are an aggregation of all the instance locations on which the application service is deployed, or you can select an instance to review a single deployment location.
The data metrics provide traffic insights from the past hour to your selected application service.
