Getting started¶
After your administrator has installed API Security Local Edition and integrated it with BIG-IP, you can access the user interface to begin discovering and evaluating API activity.
Sign in¶
In a supported browser, go to
https://<host-ip>:8000, where<host-ip>is the address provided by your administrator.Sign in with the credentials provided by your administrator.
The product supports three roles:

Operational access, including domain management, API discovery rules, and enforcement actions; cannot manage users or licenses |

Read-only access to the dashboard, endpoint inventory, and exports |
If you need an account or a role change, contact your administrator.
First-time orientation¶
When you first sign in, the dashboard displays a summary of the API posture across your environment. If your administrator has just completed the BIG-IP integration, allow time for the first analysis cycle to complete before endpoints appear.
