One of the F5 XC security services is to identify bad sources based on the IP address.

This mechanism is continually updating the database and is able to flag many dirty IP addresses based on their malicious category: Spam Sources, Anonymous Proxies, Windows Exploits, Web Attacks, Botnets, Scanners, Reputation, Phishing, Mobile Threats, Tor Proxy, Denial of service, Network Attacks.
